The beautiful, wide floorboards are of local origin and add a warm glow to the rooms of the cottage. The first rays of sunshine of the day can be enjoyed from the terrace facing the water with a good cup of coffee and the accompaniment of birds chirping and the breeze from the sea. Then you can head towards the water for a swim, or continue along the beach and enjoy the charming atmosphere at Kaløvig marina. Once back in the lovely surroundings of the cottage, you can round off the day in the best way possible in the glow of the flames from the fireplace with a good glass of wine and a cozy chat as the day comes to an end. Meet Søren I have taken over the summer house from my parents. My father built the house himself, designed by architect Eva Harlou. The exterior surfaces are made of corten steel (rusty iron), glass and larch. The wood used for the floor comes from our family forest and was made at the local sawmill. My family and I mainly enjoy the peace and nature when we are at the cottage. In winter, it's the walks by the beach and the winter swimming club at Kaløvig Badehotel that attracts us. At the bathing hotel there is also a restaurant and the possibility of mooring a boat. In the summer, it is the beach, the harbor environment and the cozy restaurant that attracts.
