The cozy and light Scandinavian style beach cottage in Kalana features a 180 degrees South facing sea view throughout and is located a few steps from the private gravel beach. Ideal for a family of up to 5 or 1-2 couples. Wooden oven sauna with sea view. Terrace seating and dining. Fireplace. In addition to full equipment we also offer bicycles, a sea kayak, 2 SUP boards and games. High speed internet on site (might be unstable in extreme weather conditions, like heat or storm). The magical Ristna beach with super waves and true ocean feel ist 300 m away. Lovely forests for hiking, blueberry picking, jogging start just behind the property. Ristna lighthouse (built in the Eiffel factory) is a 2 km hike away. The Estonian Forestry Center's new hiking trail around Hiiumaa passes the beach and the village. Kalana at the Western most tip of Hiiumaa is a surfers' hotspot. The village centre features the surf style restaurant Äär. A "supermarket bus" visits Monday and Thursday.

I love traveling and experiencing new places, sometimes staying for a while ... years even. It's great to host friends here as well - to see them find our normal everyday things so exotic!

On the Western-most tip of Hiiumaa, right on the beach. A short walk from the wonderful Ristna "paradise beach", where the big waves in August feel like a the real ocean. Forests full of wild strawberries, blueberries, mushrooms. Lovely for walking and hiking. Restaurant Äär in Kalana harbour. New marina in Kalana. Also accessible by bus from Kärdla - Luidja - Kalana. Nearest supermarket is located in Kõpu, 10 km away, however a traveling supermarket comes to the marina (300 m from the property) on Monday and Thursday afternoons.
