Ayujidda was born out of a special bond between Tee & Khairy, two individual with a deep love an appreciation for El Nuba. When Tee, a Cairene with a deep love for Aswan and travellng, met Khairy, a true Nubian, who has a profound connection to his land. It wasn't long before Tee fell in love with the people, place, and culture, and together with Khairy and their families embarked on a journey to create something truly magical, Ayujidda.

Heissa Island is one of the oldest standing Nubian islands, and the only one that remains to this day. Located on the west side of the island, Ayujidda sits at the tip of the Nile bank, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere. The island is water-locked between the old Aswan reservoir and the Nile River Dam, and is adjacent to the magnificent Philae Temple. The town sits on high ground, providing an adventurous spirit to anyone who wants to visit and walk/hike around. The island is a true representation of Nubian culture, where generosity, kindness, and hospitality are embodied in the smiles and continuous invites of the locals.
