This spacious Mediterranean house was built in the mid 1500, it is well maintained thanks to different renovations, the last one took place in 2022. The house is located in the oldest part of town. It is a very quiet area so if you are looking for peace and privacy this is your perfect destination. The house - with 400 square meters of space - has 5 large bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, 2 guest bathrooms, 3 spacious living areas, a large dining room that can accommodate up to 10 people, kitchen with dining area and an enclosed and pleasant patio with a pool. The property has a 100 m2 area devoted to fitness, yoga and mindfulness. This house is especially tailored for families and small groups looking for a peaceful retreat. Please note that in April of 2022 bedrooms 2 to 5 were upgraded and equipped with 200 cm x 180 cm organic hand-made mattresses by the UK bed manufacturer NaturalMat. Master bedroom is already equipped with 200 cm x 200 cms organic mattress (model Corpus Prestige) by French natural bed manufacturer Treca.

We are Carol and Patxi, parents of 3 teenagers and a chocolate lab (Charlie ;)). We live in Toronto but we grew up in Barcelona and Caldetas. We are passionate about life and we love having people over and sharing our home and good moments with our friends and guests. We saw this house in early 2018 and we fell in love right away. We have been living in Toronto since 2012 but all our relatives live in Caldetas and we have spent all our childhood years in this beautiful small town, so for us this home has a huge sentimental value since it has allowed us to stay connected with a place where we have spent the best moments of our lives. Caldes d' Estrac (know by the locals as "Caldetas") has always been known for being a spa town where the bourgeois catalan class used to spend their summers in the late XIX century. The village is protected by the coastal mountain range which runs parallel to the coast, and enjoys a beautiful weather, with mild summers and winters. Just walking around and exploring the narrow streets is one of the best things to do in Caldetas. There is a small museum, called Fundacio Palau, which exhibits some works from Picasso. There are also many little restaurants that call this charming town home. Down the main strip is where you will find the majority of them - a mix of seafood, rustic Catalan, tapas, a cozy pizza place (Pizzeria Estrac) as well as small cafes and bars. The best part of Caldetas is the beach. There isn’t much better than waking up on a bright, sunny summer day and throwing on your bathing suit, walking 5 minutes down a hill and setting yourself up in the sand for the day. There is available free street parking just a few meters from the house. You can choose to park you car and never use it during your stay since everything is just within a 3/5 min walk.
