We have been real Spain fans for around 20 years and the idea of living and working in Spain has always attracted us a lot. To be able to optimally enjoy the outdoors, the sun and the wonderful relaxed atmosphere in the south of Spain. In 2017 started our search for the place of our dreams. 'El Valle' has become that dream place and since January 2019 we have therefore permanently established ourselves. Why have we ended here? Because we found out that Andalusia (and specially the Costa Topical) really is one of the most beautiful places in Spain. We really have everything here; lots of sun, a mild micro-climate, the sea, the beach, the mountains and Granada itself, still truly authentic Spanish. 'El Valle' have been thoroughly done up by us in the past year, inside and out. So that 'El Valle' is modernized to nowadays standards with all the necessary comfort, but without compromising the Spanish character and details. Our guests should not lack anything; they must enjoy themselves. And we live close. Whether it is a nice chat or some advice about the best restaurants or fun activities in the area. It is fantastic to be able to live, work and enjoy life this way!

Alojamiento Rural El Valle está a 1,5 km. de Dúrcal en una zona de cultivo de naranjos, olivos y limoneros, con un microclima ideal para cualquier época del año. Nuestro cortijo, con historia desde el siglo XIX, ha restaurado completo en el año 2019. Disponemos de 4 casas de 2 a 8 plazas, que permiten su alquiler como casas independientes o en grupo. Su ubicación en la parte superior de la ladera del río, le permite gozar de una situación inmejorable, con vistas al valle y a las montañas de Sierra Nevada, cerca de los lugares con mayor interés turístico de Granada. Dúrcal is part of Valle de Lecrín. You can make beautiful walks here and feel yourself part of nature. Valle de Lecrín is located on the foothills of 'Los Alpujarras', consisting of numerous white villages such as: Lanjaron, Orgiva, Pampaneira, Capileira and Trevelez. Every village has its own locally produced specialties such as: olives, ham, carpets.Then of course there is the Sierra Nevada itself, a beautiful and vast nature park, with its own ski village Pradollano (about 45 minutes by car). On the way to the Sierra Nevada is Monachil, a beautiful village in a valley with it´s very famous walking tour 'Los Cahorros'. The seaside resorts Motril, Salobreña, Almuñécar and La Herradura, with their beautiful beaches, bays, shops and restaurants are about a 30 minutes' drive. You can enjoy locally caught fish, the famous paella and other typical Spanish food. And ofcourse there is Granada itself, a 20 minutes’ drive, with the world-famous Alhambra, the oldest Islamic building in the world. The beautiful cathedral and the Albaicin with its Moorish streets. Because of the abundance of squares and restaurants, there is always find a nice place somewhere to enjoy a drink with a tapa.
