Our apartment is situated on the 11th floor of the "Arenal Beach" building with impressive views of the Mediterranean Sea and the famous Peñon de Ifach rock. Here you can enjoy the sun and the fresh sea breeze on your private terrace. The complex is only 190 meters from the Arenal beach. This is the most popular beach in Calpe and one of the nicest in Costa Blanca. The apartment is 1 km away from the centre of Calpe. The apartment is new and therefore equipped with all mod cons such as air-conditioning and fast wifi. The living room has an open plan kitchen with a bar and a glass sliding door to the balcony over the full length of the apartment. This creates a beautiful sea view from within the apartment. The TV in the living room has, in addition to the satellite connection, a Google Chromecast connection with which you can stream your favourite Netflix series without any problems in combination with the fast fiber optic connection of 600 MB. The common area contains a swimming pool with a terrace and sun loungers. A spiral staircase leads to a raised solarium with jacuzzi and lounge chairs. Two years ago they have started the construction of a new complex “Silvertower” next to our building. As a result, there may be some noise nuisance from time to time.

We are Henk Tissingh & Christine Mos. We are both former cyclists and have come to know this area on our countless training sessions in preparation for the cycling season. Even after the end of our cycling career, we kept on coming back to Calpe every year because of the climate, the varied terrain and the beautiful traffic-free roads.

Just 200 meters from the apartment next to the salt lake you will find the bakery "Las Salinas" with its scrumptious bread. You can also have a delicious breakfast there, which may come in handy upon arrival in your apartment. The striking limestone rock Peñon de Ifach rises 322 meters high up from the sea. You can walk all the way to the top via a footpath to enjoy a breathtaking 360 degree view. At the foot of the Peñon de Ifach lies the fishing port of Calpe. At the end of the afternoon the fishing boats return to the harbour to immediately sell their catch at the auction. Tourists can also participate in this auction. Calpe naturally has beautiful beaches. The best known are Playa Arenal and Playa Levante. Less known, hidden behind the fishing port is a beautiful little pebble beach called Raconada de Port where you can snorkel and dive. The area around Calpe is known for its beautiful cycling routes. Many professional cycling teams train here, especially in the winter months. In 2019 La Vuelta a España finished in Calpe with the notorious Cumbre del Sol in the final leg of the race. Never a dull moment in Calpe!
