Jardines de Pinos is a small group of houses enclosed within a garden wall with stunning views over the Valley of Lecrin towards the Sierra Nevada. Our house is one of four which we manage for rental, and from the house you can drive to the beach, to the Alpujarras and to Granada and the Alhambra, all within 30 minutes. The property is perfectly equipped for rental, and there are bathrooms for each of the three bedrooms. There is a WiFi signal for the house and access to the pool is immediately outide the front door, but within the privacy of Jardines de Pinos. The floors are all tiled and in winter we place rugs in the living room and the bedrooms. There is no need for aircinditioning because the height above sealevel means that summer nights are still cool enough to sleep, and there are blinds to keep the heat out during the day. Equally in winter the house is insulated and the windows all double glazed. The woodburner keeps the top two floors of the house warm in winter and we use electric fan heaters to heat the downstairs bedrooms at night.

Tim and Arantxa have lived in the Valley of Lecrin for many years and we know the area inside out, as well as being familiar with the whole of Granada province, in parts of which we have other properties for holiday rent. We built Jardines de Pinos over the last 10 years, and before that many other houses in other villages over the previous 20 years. Whatever your reason for visiting, we will do our best to facilitate your needs and wishes. We know bar and restaurant owners, estate agents, translators, Granada city tour and mountain guides, pony trekking companies and walking groups. We can help you find what you need from the medical centre and pharmacies. We are here for you and we live in a village nearby called Acequias. Immediately to hand are Matt and Laura, who live in one of the other houses, and who prepare the houses and are there to help you with your immediate needs.

Pinos del Valle as a village has good facilities (bar restaurant, shops, a bakery etc) and plenty of beautiful walks around the surrounding countryside as well as good access (less than 30 mins) to Granada , the Alpujarras and the Costa Tropical. There are a lot of enjoyable activities around the Valley of Lecrin within easy reach of the house and we can provide you with information and assistance when you arrive. Local attractions include ruined castles, Roman remains, fiestas, the Spa Town of Lanjaron, trqditional Olive Mills, and open air performances of Flamenco. The agriculture of the area is mixed with olive and almond groves, and various other trees such as oranges, lemons, pomegranate, carob, plum and cherry. The house is well-placed for access to the coast and Granada in less than 30 minutes in each direction. Granada is home to the Alhambra, Spain´s premier castle palace, and the Cathedral, home to Ferdinand and Isabella´s tomb. Nearby there is the Sierra Nevada National Park, Marina del Este (a lovely area to walk and look at the yachts), and the village of Salobreña, featuring a dramatic Moorish castle perched on the edge of a hill overlooking the sea.
