This house has been lovingly re-decorated over the last few years. It is my home away from home, and I hope you will feel the same there. The house is approx. a 15 minute walk to the sea front, and c 8 minutes walk to the town centre. It is the perfect base to explore the area, relax or work from home. The house is not directly accessible by car. There is a small walk up a stairs by from the street. Public parking is available at the street level but can be difficult to get. On the ground floor, there is all the main living spaces and it stays cool throughout the summer. The house can sleep up to maximum of 4 people (5 on the couch)! It has 2 bedrooms, both with double beds. There is also a compact bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and sitting room. There is air-con in the sitting room supplemented by a large ceiling fan in the sitting room and one in each bedroom. There is also a large sofa to accommodate any extra guests. In case one needs to work on vacation, there is a work table in one of the bedrooms. For autumn/winter stays there is a pellet stove. Outside stairs lead to the spacious terrace with fantastic views over Salobreña where you can enjoy the sun almost all day or do a spot of yoga (mat is included). From there, you will find a majestic view of the Sierra Nevada mountains to the sea, along with much of the town. You will find a barbecue, sun loungers and a full couch set to enjoy the majestic view and sunshine. The terrace also serves as a laundry room. Almost all things are included: kitchen utensils, bed linen, towels, and some basic essentials. If you feel anything is missing, please write to me. For travel around the area, a car is not essential, but advisable for those who wish to explore nearby towns and beaches. There is (scarce)public parking just below the access path on the narrow old town streets. Parking is also available downtown in designated parking areas. Parking can take longer to find during the summer months, Easter and Christmas.

Salobreña is located on the Costa Tropical. It is a gorgeous little whitewashed town hanging on a large rock that juts close to the sea. It is topped with a Moorish castle and surrounded by of all things sugar cane plantations. In the town, you will find small shops, a municipal market, 3 large supermarkets, banks. Salobreña is only 50 minutes from Granada airport, over one hour from Malaga airport and sits within an hour of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. It is the perfect place to relax on your Andalucia road trip you can sunbathe on the Mediterranean one day and the next go skiing in the mountains. Salobrenas’ Arabic past is easily seen when you take a walk through the steep streets and visit its castle.
