Our villa with 2 independent levels of which the ground floor (70 M2) is rented out to guests, is located on the mountainside of the Maryvilla District on a 900 m2 plot. It is situated along the idyllic coastline of Calp with its famous rock “the Peňon Ifach” and closeby its old city center (2,5-3 km.) with shops, restaurants, sandy beaches and boulevards. You will need a car to move around. The fully equipped kitchen is for self catering (supermarkets nearby) This is an owner-occupied traditional Spanish villa with a private, self contained suite for your private use on the ground floor. The spacious accommodation consists of a fully equipped kitchen, a dining veranda (can be used as work space also), bedroom/living tv room (25 sqm), hallway and spacious bathroom. This guest suite is perfect for people who want to enjoy sufficient space for relaxation for themselves. There is also a sofa bed in the living room. In the early morning you will see the orange sun rising from the sea. "I can bet" that you have not seen often a more beautiful mountain and sea view as from this place. There is a pathway with steps up to the front door of the guest suite. You can use 3 entrances of you private accommodation to go to the swimming pool area with two separate terraces to barbecue or to relax with your book or device in comfortable chairs. All for your private use (not shared). We live on the separate upper floor which means that we are always available on site to answer any of your questions or to assist you if needed. At the same time we can easily maintain a high level of privacy between you and us due to two outer staircases and various entrances on each floor.

Hello we are Maura (54) and Peter (66) and your host. Peter has (early) retired from the Netherlands diplomatic Service four years ago; in total we have lived for 31 years abroad in 8 different countries. Now we have settled down in Spain to relax and to take it more easy in work. When guests arrive we will meet and greet them in person. We can also do some shopping before they arrive to fill the refrigerator with food and drinks that they want. We can give tips on trips that can be done in the area (hiking, waterfalls, caves, brewery, fish market, beautiful old villages, great restaurants etc.). Your stay must be enjoyable, so we will do our best for you, but you will stay in control thereon at all times (your privacy). We can also arrange a professional relaxing/ sports massage for you in our guest suite if you want (she is our neighbor from Belgium and can work on Mondays and Saturday afternoon). We have a sweet mixed breed dog, 13 years old that also wants to meet you. He will be your friend after a few seconds and then will leave you alone :-)

You will need a car, electric bike, step or scooter to challenge the height differences in the area, but strong legs should be able to challenge the shorter distances. The Calpe area of the Costa Blanca gives you a lot of opportunities to do short trips to lovely places nearby, eg. Altea, Denia, Albir, Elche, Alicante, Benidorm and Valencia. So many nice places to visit, also for cycling and hiking.
