👤 Info about the host
Hello, I’m José Luis, and I’d like to welcome you to my 15th-century house in the very heart of Toledo’s old town.
I’m passionate about the history of the city and the heritage preserved in this building, especially the Roman vaults from the 1st century that formed part of the old thermal baths. Whenever possible, I enjoy showing these spaces personally and sharing stories and curiosities with guests.
My goal is to make you feel comfortable from the very first moment – as if you were at home, but living something special: sleeping in a historic house, resting in a quiet setting and, at the same time, having all the main sights just a short walk away.
If you need recommendations on what to see, where to eat or how to organise your visit, I’ll be happy to help you before and during your stay.
📍 Info about the neighbourhood
The house is located on Nuncio Viejo street, one of the most emblematic streets in Toledo’s historic centre, about 100 metres from the Cathedral. It’s a perfect area for exploring the city on foot: in just a few minutes you can reach the Town Hall Square, the Town Hall, the Alcázar, the Jewish Quarter, viewpoints over the river Tagus and numerous museums and churches.
The neighbourhood combines the typical atmosphere of Toledo – narrow streets, historic buildings and small squares – with pleasant areas for having a drink or dinner. Nearby you’ll find traditional bars, local restaurants and shops selling handicrafts and typical products.
Even though you are right in the centre, the street is quiet and has a residential feel, perfect for resting after a day of sightseeing. It’s a very convenient location both for a first visit to Toledo and for those who already know the city and want to experience it in a more authentic way.
