"El Carmen is one of the neighbours of the district "Ciutat Vella", which conforms the old town of Valencia city. It is an ancient neighborhood that grew between two walls: the Muslim (XI century) that limited the east; and the new Christian wall (XIV century) which protected the West. Today it is a busy neighborhood of both locals and tourists because of the huge variety of shops, museums, exhibitions and restaurants and the appeal of the unusual layout of its streets and the quality of urban art that characterizes it.
