La Cabanya is a charming and romantic house especially dedicated to the families and couples. Hello! We are Xargay's family. La Cabanya belonged to Can Xargay and it was used to store the agricultural tools. In 2007 we decided to make it as a holiday rental villa. Who are we? Pere is a builder and he's a passionat man with his job. He rehabilitated and restored the house with all the details. He is the father of the family. Dolors, a kind and tireless worker. She is the mother of the family but she's also the soul of La Cabanya. Raquel, with a chemical profession, is working in the town hall of our village but she also likes welcome you to the house and she explains to you all the activities that you can do in the area. Sílvia is biologist, cheerful and hardworking. She's the middle sister. Sandra is a great professional in the world of physiotherapy. She loves the relaxation and wellness. She will take care of you in the wellness center. We would love to make you feel at home and we hope to meet you soon!

La Cabanya is located in the quiet and safe village of Mata (Porqueres), only 2 km. from Banyoles lake, 15 km. from the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa and 35 km. from Costa Brava beaches. The country house is also 15 km. from Girona city, 30 km. from the Dalí Museum in Figueres and 1 hour from the city of Barcelona. The villa is in a walking distance from shops and restaurants and a short drive from the Airport of Girona-Costa Brava (25 km.). The variety of landscapes in the Costa Brava region offers a lot of bucolic landscapes and artistic inspiration that make this area an unbeatable environment for family activities. Cycling, hiking, kayaking, canoeing on Banyoles lake are the most common sports. For this reason, La Cabanya is also a bike friendly villa. 100 meters from the house is the greenway that connects Serinyà - Banyoles - Girona.
