"La Paredita," also known as "El Granero," is an old Canarian house situated in the location that bears its name. It is located in the municipality of "El Tanque," a name that has more than 400 years of history. The upper part of Garachico, where it is situated, used these lands for cultivation and also built a pond to supply water to the municipality. It wasn't until 1641 that it was declared an independent municipality and its first town hall was established. "La Paredita" is perched on the edge of a steep slope, almost a cliff, and from its position, it embraces the municipality of "El Tanque" while framing the majesty of the "Teide," which can be observed from any point on the property. A beautiful and unique view, a privilege granted by such an incredible location. Due to the elevation of the terrain on which it is situated, you can observe a sort of valley from its gardens. In the distance, we find the municipality of "El Tanque," and from there, we lose ourselves in the vastness of the pine forest covering the slopes of the Teide. Following that, we can observe the summit and the "Pico Viejo," the highest point of Spain. This old house had a cistern, commonly used when there was no running water, a barn, renovated tile roofs respecting traditional Canarian architecture, and wooden floors in most of the rooms. We don't have exact records of when it was built, but the age of the main walls suggests that the first settlement took place around 1840.

The commercial area of El Tanque is located 200 meters away, there are all kinds of shops and services. Highly recommended is the pizzeria "La Albahaca," which is open from Friday to Sunday. We also recommend the restaurant 'El Mortero' located at the Lomo Molino viewpoint, offering stunning views along with a culinary selection that elevates traditional Canarian cuisine with a modern twist. It is located in a protected natural area, being the only dwelling in the area. Just 100 meters away, you will find the Lomo Molino viewpoint.
