ECOTOURISM Redondo de Guayedra is a 100% natural environment, in the territory awarded as Biosphere Reserve in Gran Canaria and ten kilometres away from the nearest village. Fifty two million square metres in the middle of the wild, where every human action carried out have respected the environment and at the same time recovered what the passing of the time had deteriorated. Besides, our vacational house and the whole Redondo de Guayedra has been planned and designed to meet the most sensitive environmental and social parametres and develops its activity under strict sustainable-tourism standards HISTORY The history of Guayedra is singled out by its being the only territory in the Canaries which kept its own aboriginal organization, isolated from the Castillian Crown authority. The Area Redondo de Guayedra was turn into a reserve by Tenesor Semidan –later known as Hernando or Fernando Guanarteme- as an independent territory after his agreement with the Catholic Monarchs in 1483. Nowadays this portion of Gran Canaria guards the echoe of those times, keeping dwellings, caves and other remains of those Canarians who were willing to continue living according to their old uses

Several archaeological sites are currently a proof of this and support the area being declared Site of Cultural Interest which recognizes and protects this area of singular value for the Canaries.
