We are a family run business which has been growing rapidly since Summer 2007. The company is the creation of Tila and Michelle Braddock. The concept of Lanzarote Retreats developed from Tila and Michelle´s desire to offer stylish & eco-friendly holiday accommodation, mainly in and around Arrieta, a stunning, rural village in the North of the island, which they love and where they brought up their family. These days the business is run by Joshua, their eldest son. From organising car hire, arranging days out, providing child and nursery equipment to recommending restaurants and beaches, the team at Lanzarote Retreats have over 20 years of experience of living, working, entertaining children and enjoying Lanzarote. Rincon Botanica is one of four studio apartments within the main house of Tiagua81, a beautifully restored traditional Canarian finca. The cosy studio combines modern comfort with authentic charm and features a king-size bed and a kitchenette equipped with hob, microwave, and cooking essentials, making it ideal for self-catering stays. Please note this particular apartment has natural light from skylights and its internal front door only. There are no windows. Guests who prefer a brighter space with views may wish to consider Sala Botanica or Balcon Botanico, which overlook the pool area. For relaxation and social spaces, guests have access to a shared pool terrace with sun loungers, barbecue, and garden. Inside the finca, there are additional communal areas: a stunning glass-covered Canarian courtyard with comfortable seating, and the property’s original water tank, the “Aljibe,” which has been converted into a unique underground library for quiet reading or reflection. A laundry room with washing machine, ironing board, and space for bicycles is also available. Although there is no air conditioning or central heating in the property, fans and portable heaters can be provided . Tiagua81 is set in the rural village of Tiagua, right in the centre of Lanzarote. From here, you are only 10 minutes by car from Famara Beach, Historic Teguise, and the island’s capital Arrecife. Tiagua itself was once the trade capital of Lanzarote, where many buildings were farmhouses, shops, or market posts, offering an authentic glimpse into the island’s history. The studio is suitable for up to 2 adults. Children and infants are not accepted. Please note, as Rincon Botanico is located on the roadside of this historic finca and traffic noise can be heard so if you are sensitive to noise you may prefer to look at Sala Botanica or Balcon Botanico. A car is strongly recommended.
