I’m Jaakko, a local father and dreamer whose vision has come to life here at Roiske(Roiske is Finnish and means Water Splash). My life has always revolved around children and youth – designing playgrounds and creating memorable experiences. My journey has taken me across the world, exploring different kinds of adventures, but the magic of Lapland and my love for nature have always brought me back home. Roiske is my “favorite child,” which has grown in just a few years from a water activity center into a year-round destination, now with unique accommodations. We are a small, locally owned and run resort with a big heart. Our goal is to provide unforgettable moments – close to the city of Rovaniemi, yet far enough away to be under the magical northern skies. I have a deep passion for sauna and its power to bring well-being. At the heart of our center is a unique air-circulating electric sauna, where the warmth passes through Himalayan salt crystals, offering a perfect moment of relaxation for both body and mind. For those seeking a traditional Finnish sauna experience, our wood-heated sauna is available for private bookings. Roiske is built out of love – for people, friendships, and the uniqueness of nature.
