Relax with your family or group in a cozy wooden house. Guesthouse Ollinmäki is located in Muonio, Western Lapland. Easy access from Highway 21 / E8. Muonio´s village services are within walking distance. The guesthouse comfortably accommodates 2-4 people, with a fifth guest sleeping on an extra bed. BEDDING AND TOWELS AVAILABLE FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE. Customers may also bring their own (clean bedding is required). We also make customized sets according to the customer's needs, ask us for more information. When using a sleeping bag, a sheet and pillowcase must be used. The guesthouse has two bedrooms (one of the bedrooms also serves as a living room) and a kitchen with a dining area. Additionally, there are two bathrooms, each with toilets. One bathroom is in the back bedroom, and access to the other is from the dining area/kitchen. In the master bedroom, there is 1 x 160 cm double bed and 1 x 80 cm bed. 1 x 120 cm bed in the living room/bedroom, and if needed, a foldable extra bed. Outside, there is a small terrace where you can enjoy the view of the Muonio River and the lake. The apartment was renovated in 2021. The furnishings include all necessary furniture as well as a comprehensive kitchenware and equipment. The apartment has a washing machine and a drying rack. There are toys, games, pens, and books for children. There is a parking area in the yard of the house, which serves as a parking lot for Motorhome & Caravan Ollinmäki during the thawed season. Guests at Guesthouse Ollinmäki have their own entrance and parking space in front of the apartment. The outdoor sauna in the yard of our other house, Villa Ollinmäki, can be booked separately for an additional fee, if available. We are Jenny and Ville. We accommodate our guests in wonderful wooden houses in Muonio. We have Guesthouse Ollinmäki and Villa Ollinmäki. In the guesthouse's yard area, we also have a Motorhome & Caravan Parking area for wheeled homes. Renovating our homestead and the guesthouse is a creative process that constantly offers us experiences. Ville enjoys repair and maintenance work, while Jenny practices and learns them under Ville's guidance and also engages in rental activities in Ylläs at four locations; she has become infatuated with the fells, the old mountains of Lapland. Being in nature and having pious humor colors our lives. We are pleased to serve our customers and create unique experiences for them at our locations. We gladly make contact with our guests, if they wish so. The houses are also our homes; we mainly live in the lower part of Villa Ollinmäki. The houses have the genuine atmosphere of wooden houses. We may have children at home, they love our guests and other´s children are welcome too. Our cat lives outside in the summer and inside in the winter. Your pet is welcome when Sheeba is outside (during thaw time). Our houses have been renovated since 2013 and 2015, finishing work is still being done at Villa Ollinmäki. In houses of this size, there is always something to do, we hope you enjoy the authenticity of the houses and our home, we have not yet succeeded in finishing everything but we are doing our best to make you feel comfortable in the unique rural atmosphere of Villa and Guesthouse Ollinmäki. Muonio is known for stunning nature. Pallas-Ylläsfell National Park with its hiking destinations is located nearby. The area has several fells, such as well-known fells in Pallas region, Olostunturi, Särkitunturi and Keimiötunturi (fell = tunturi in Finnish, is a very old mountain). Activities like skiing, snowboarding, freeride, cycling, hiking, fishing, kayaking and other opportunities await adventurers. In winter, there are safaris like husky and reindeer safaris, snowmobile, snowshoe and skiing safaris. In winter, the northern lights color the sky just like the beautiful glow of the sun during the polar night. Visitors can experience a unique Arctic sauna experience as well as a snow restaurant. In summer, fishing, kayaking and enjoying the midsummer sun and long, bright nights, as well as hiking and berry-picking are the highlights. We recommend exploring Äijäkoski. Also the area's galleries; Veli Koljonen and Raekallio galleries are located along the Kittilä road. Levi and Ylläs, with their services, are just a short drive away. At Finland's largest ski resorts, you can visit a spa, go bowling, visit an adventure park, play frisbee golf, and enjoy various evening activities including dances and concerts, in addition to nature experiences. From Muonio take a day trip to Kilpisjärvi or Norway or our destination can be a stop for accommodation on your way to Kilpisjärvi / Norway or while returning. The house is 700m from the village services: shops, library, gas station. The Swiss café in the center is worth a visit, especially for chocolate lovers. You can swim not only at our natural beach but also at Pekonen beach and Kiela pier. Utkujärvi beach (11 km north) and the red sand beach in Pallas are great places for a dip during summer heat. There is access to the ski trails and snowmobile route network near the accommodation. Whether you are heading north or south, it is easy to reach us from Highway 21/E8.
