In 2017, a new 10 person holiday villa Pihlaja was built. The next year an atmospheric barbeque hut for the use of our guests rose to the Saimaa lakeside on our private beach area. Our cottages are easy to reach and close to the main roads, but still in the middle of the peaceful, quiet and clean nature of Ruokolahti. Our cottages are located just a few hundred metres away from the family friendly Ski Center Ruokolahden FreeSki. Its surroundings offer incredible views for running and jogging, and in winter for skiing, downhill skiing and even snowshoeing. Winter sports equipment can be hired from Freeski. During the summer, the downhill biking centre Saimaa Bikepark operates on the Freeski slope. Access to the Lake Saimaa is within a walking distance from the cottages (about 500 meters). We also have a private beach area and barbeque hut available only for our guests, only 900 meters from the cottages. You can get to the private beach and bbq hut easily by foot or by car. The forests around Matikkala and Ruokolahti are full of opportunities to enjoy the surrounding nature. There are plenty of nature trails and mountain biking trails close to the cottages, And the surrounding forests offer berries and mushroom to pick. We also have a rental barrel sauna and outdoor hot tub available with Cottage Sirppi 59 and Villa Pihlaja 58. Cottage Kääpä 8 also has an outdoor hot tub on the terrace that you can rent during your stay. You can always easily reach us, before, during and after your stay.
