Our rustic cabin offers a peaceful back-to-nature retreat with no running water, no indoor toilet and no kitchen. Guests prepare meals independently over an open fire at the nearby shelter. Enjoy a traditional lakeside sauna with carried water and winter ice hole for refreshing dips. For an extra fee, we can also arrange meals and a husky sled ride, weather permitting, to make your stay even more memorable. The Sled-Dog Cabin is located next to the Olkkajärvi lake and the closest neighbors are our pack of alaskan huskies.
We are welcoming you to our beloved home base - surrounding nature, Olkkajärvi lake and our happy little pack of 10 alaskan huskies are happy to have you here. All of our dogs are important members of our family and all the guests will have the chance for a private kennel visit - included to the accomdation price.
Nature is playing the main role in this area - in winter you can enjoy a soothing walk on a frozen Olkkajärvi lake, put on snowshoes and step in to the deep snow for an adventure in the forest or swamps.
