The B&B "Aux Bories de Marquay" is a 10-minute drive from the medieval city of Sarlat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is centrally located in the triangle of the Périgord Noir, which makes it easy to visit the beautiful villages and castles of the Dordogne valley or the prehistoric sites of the Vézère valley. The old farmhouse houses five guest rooms, including two family suites and a gîte. All rooms were renovated in 2018, are air-conditioned and each has a separate entrance. When you enter the courtyard lined with rose bushes, it feels like you are entering a small village of which you become the resident during your stay. To start the day off right, a delicious breakfast awaits you every morning: unlimited hot drinks, fresh bread, fresh fruit juices, homemade jams and pastries, yogurts, an assortment of cold cuts and cheeses, fresh fruit... After a day of sightseeing, what could be more pleasant than swimming in the azure pool or relaxing in the 7-seater spa, enjoy the incredible tranquillity of this little paradise.

With great passion and enthusiasm, we, Erik and Karin, embraced this special place. Our love for the Dordogne grew over the years, and the desire to embark on a new adventure here together became stronger and stronger. When we discovered Aux Bories de Marquay, it was love at first sight! The Périgord Noir offers a unique mix of rolling landscapes, historic castles, prehistoric caves and enchanting villages. Here, it's all about enjoyment, relaxation and discovering the authentic French lifestyle. Whether you come to explore the area, experience adventures, enjoy a good glass of wine or just find peace and quiet ― at Aux Bories de Marquay you will feel completely at home.

Our central location in the Périgord Noir allows you to easily reach all the points of interest in our region. Head for the Vézère valley in 15 minutes to go back to the time of Cro Magnon: discover the prehistoric caves of Lascaux, Les Eyzies, Les Combarelles and many others (the valley has 25 of them). If you prefer the medieval or Renaissance period, the Périgord is also called the "region of 1001 castles": Beynac, Commarque, Castelnaud and others await you. Take a walk between one of the "most beautiful villages in France" such as La Roque Gageac or Domme. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy excellent walks, canoe trips on the Dordogne or the Vézère, or cycling on the Sarlat/Cazoulès green route.
