Chateau Le Retail ligger i Saint-Hilaire-des-Loges, kun 35 km fra Niort Train Station. Her er vandsportsfaciliteter, grillfaciliteter og gratis wi-fi. Feriehuset ligger i en bygning fra 1341, 11 km fra Natur'Zoo de Mervent og 28 km fra Le Moulin du Roc. Dette feriehus består af 3 soveværelser og 3 badeværelser og har tv og dvd-afspiller. Efter en dag fyldt med at fiske, sejle i kano eller cykle kan gæsterne slappe af i det fælles opholdsområde. Donjon de Niort ligger 28 km fra feriehuset, mens Niort Townhall ligger 28 km væk. Located in the beautiful south Vendée, part of the Loire region, our 'petit chateau' is steeped in history.  The entire residential history of the main house is recorded and dates back to 1341.  Some of the external features - including a medieval vaulted cellar - date back to the 11th century. The perfect place as a base for exploring south Vendée - Puy du Fou, Marais Poitevin, Mervent Forest, Futuroscope, La Rochelle, Vouvant and other beautiful towns and the spectacular Atlantic coast, all within an hour away. Far more than your standard self-catering gites, we offer a spacious and luxurious setting for your holiday within our 3 bedrooms, all with ensuite shower-rooms.  Tastefully decorated with all the usual added extras, we are targeting repeat visitors and those that do enjoy and appreciate quality.  We are ideally suited to that 'special occasion' and, depending on availability, can offer extra services such as evening meals and picnic lunches.  Chateau Le Retail is available for either up to 6 or 4 guests, (for a min. 3 nights & open all year) you will have sole occupancy of your gite in a beautiful relaxing countryside location.   For up to 4 guests, an open plan...
We have embraced a change in lifestyle, culture and weather(!) relocating to Chateau Le Retail in August 2016 from north east Scotland where we both worked within the Oil and Gas Industry. Doug continues to travel to work and Pauline now focuses on hosting our new business venture. South Vendée, Pays de la Loire, is an extremely active tourist area.  Chateau Le Retail is the ideal base for your vacation in with easy access to many key tourist attractions including; world renowned theme parks (Puy du Fou, Futuoroscope), the 'Green Venice' Marais Poitevin, the spectacular Atlantic coast with its beautiful beaches and maritime activities, all within an hour away. Of course there is also the amazing Loire valley - famous for its incredible wine and breathtaking chateaux's and gardens.  The historic and beautiful towns of La Rochelle, Vouvant and Fontenay Le Comte are all easily accessible, with many local markets and historic sites to visits throughout the area.   Mervent forest is only 12km away with cycling and walking tracks in abundance along with water activities, climbing, archery, horse-riding, a great local zoo and an activity park for children.
Chateau Le Retail is the perfect rural base for exploring south Vendée - Puy du Fou, Marais Poitevin, Mervent Forest and Futuroscope as well as the historic and beautiful towns of La Rochelle, Vouvant and Fontenay Le Comte are all easily accessible La Rochelle, Vouvant and other beautiful towns and the spectacular Atlantic coast, all within an hour away. Further afield and easily accessible is the amazing Loire valley The local villages are 3.5km and 6km away for everyday fresh supplies
