Welcome to the Gîte de la Vallée de la Tude Perched above our 100% organic peasant farm in the pretty Tude Valley, our gîte is a traditional house that we have carefully renovated using quality materials in a spirit of simplicity and warmth. Come and recharge your batteries in this unspoilt natural setting, perfect for relaxing. The accommodation The accommodation On the ground floor, the gîte has a very large living area, including a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable lounge and a dining room, all surrounded by two fireplaces for a cosy atmosphere, one of which has a wood-burning stove for winter evenings. There is also a beautiful master suite with a bathroom (bath and shower). We've converted the first floor between the beams of the traditional roof structure to offer you a large double bedroom with en-suite shower room, an additional bedroom, as well as a dormitory/playroom that can be adapted to suit your needs, and a bathroom with bath. To make the most of the fine weather, there is also a pretty enclosed garden with trees, and a platform for the children to have a siesta or play! Pets, smoking and events are not permitted. This property is equipped with water and light saving devices. Sustainable materials have been used to insulate the property. We sell our 100% organic farm produce: flours, pulses, oil, apple juice and seasonal vegetables!

Activities around the gîte The South Charente and the surrounding area offer a wide range of activities for all the family: Hiking : Hiking trails await you nearby to discover the natural beauty of the countryside, with its hills, forests and rivers. Mountain biking: If you're not afraid of hills, get on your bike! Cultural visits: Explore the charming surrounding villages (Aubeterre sur Dronne, Villebois-La-Valette), discover the local architectural heritage (Chateau de Chalais - 5km), and visit historic sites. The media library in Chalais (5km) has a wealth of comic books for young and old alike! Around Aubeterre, try your hand at pottery! Organic produce tasting: Take advantage of the country farm to sample our local, 100% organic produce. Water activities: Chalais (5 km) has a municipal swimming pool with three diving boards, one of which is 5 metres high! Lots of water activities in summer.
