Paul is originally from Hampshire in the United Kingdom and manages La Balie with Cecile who is French and originally from the Ger’s, Cecile is also a practicing vet . We are both passionate about this unspoilt corner of France and will be on hand to help you discover the delights of this region which is close to our heart. We are keen outdoor enthusiasts, so please enquire about the local walking and cycling in the area and we will be only too happy to make sure you enjoy the best there is to offer. We both love food and cooking, thankfully therefore one of the delights of living in the Lot et Garonne is the fantastic produce the area is famed for. We will be only too pleased to make sure you do not miss the best of the local markets, restaurants and gourmet events hosted by the local villages close to La Balie! Next year, we will be offering for guests to bring their horse and staple them at our small equestrian centre, five minutes from La Balie. Equine enthusiasts will then be able to enjoy the beauty off the golden triangle between Montpensier, Monflanquin and Curzon, which is a paradise for horseriding. La Balie sleeps 16 in 3 units: The 3 gorgeous holiday cottages near Monflanquin in this unspoilt corner of Lot-et-Garonne are a great option for 3 generation families or friends to enjoy an idyllic holiday together. Converted farm buildings have been transformed into characterful stone cottages retaining lots of original features yet providing contemporary luxury light filled open plan living. La Balie has a fantastic open air heated salt water pool with sun terrace, garden and views. Couldn't be better. All of the cottages are beautifully designed, having well equipped kitchens, dining spaces and cosy lounges with wood burning stoves. Each property has its own private courtyard with furniture for alfresco dinning, whilst there is a separate terrace perfect for everyone to eat together. Each bedroom is styled using cool soft furnishings to create calm relaxing spaces for maximum comfort and are en suite. Of the 8 rooms, 6 have walk in showers, 2 with baths with showers. 5 of the rooms are ground floor making access easier for those less mobile. The bedrooms can be configured to suit your party. Air con in first floor rooms, ground floor rooms have stone walls and are cool!
