Hi, I have had to set up the property on this site again which unfortunately does not show my 9.4 out of 10 reviews from my lovely guests over the years, this is not a new booking.
I have been letting for many years, we are in a perfect central location in Piegut, with the biggest weekly market in the Dordogne.
If you are booking in July and August, you will have the choice to use our beautiful shared pool, I will email separately regarding this, it is not available at other times however the lake at St Estephe is only 10mins away for swimming..
You will have the use of a private terrace and BBQ a few metres up the hill as we do not have an actual garden ourselves.
There is so much to do here, especially in the summer, I will happily to go through everything with you.. The gite is perfectly charming but a little quirky, my guests have all loved it. It is over 4 floors including the mezzanine, so I would ask yourself if this is suitable to you. It is a townhouse hence the height, if stairs are not a problem, you will not be disappointed. In our village, all within 1-5 mins walk away, you have 4 restaurants, 3 bars, 2 boulangeries, boucherie, beauty salon and 3 hairdressers, lots of other
shops, Pizza and Kebab takeaways a historic tower and lovely church plus so much more..... and that is just in the village. Going further afield you have Brantome, they call it the venice of France, spectacular caves in Villars, the famous Oradour which preserves the lost lives from the war, sad but worth a visit. The big cities are Perigueux, Angouleme, Limoges, we are in the middle of all three and which are all just under an hour away.
I love it here, you can ask me anything or book and wait, I'll know what is on then. The cinema in Nontron, oh I forgot to mention Nontron just 10 mins away, shows VO original language version films. Nontron has spectacular views being high on a hill.
Hope to meet you soon
Christine
A bit about me, Mmm, well, I've been hosting guests for many many years, both here in France and in the UK. I am English but really try to speak as much French as I can.
I'm retired but keep busy with lots of activities including Zumba and keeping fit. There are plenty of places to walk in and around the village.
We are a very friendly village who love nothing more than meeting up over coffee or a glass of wine or two and chatting about life.
