The house has a great 'feel'. It is spacious, the brocante style furniture makes it homey, there is a kitchen with lots of cooking pots and pans and tools, also for outside cooking on the fire. There is a large field connecting the terrace suitable for playing. Children also love the place. There are toys and games, amongst others a tennis-table and a volleyball net. The house is very suitable for 2 families, for groups of 8 people. The dinner table, fridge and outdoor table are suitable for 8 persons. But there is sleeping place for 11 people. There are 4 bedrooms with twin beds. On the large attic on the 1st floor is a bunkbed for 2 persons. In the living room is a sofa bed. There are 2 bathrooms plus an additional separate shower. There are 3 toilets, of which 1 toilet in the bathroom downstairs and 2 toilets separate/stand alone. Bed linen can be rented for 10 euros per person. Or guests bring their own bed sheets and towels. Good to know: the house is rather noisy. One can hear each other through the walls of the rooms and through the floor of the first floor.

We are Dutch, living in the Netherlands. La Brionniere is our 'maison secondaire', family holiday house. My name is Elien and I organise the renting via Booking. My parents bought the house in 1998 as a neglected farm and restored and renovated it during 2 years. My sister got married in La Brionniere in 1999. We enjoy spring and summer holidays each year in La Brionniere with our families. We love to go outdoor, to play games, to make a fire, to cook and bake. We are into ecological sustainability. Our local caretaker lives closeby in Aizenay and takes care of the house when we are not there. Upon arrival the key can be found in a safe box. You will receive the code.

The house is in the real country side, dans la campagne. It is very quiet. The house is on a dead end little road so hardly any traffic. There are agriculture fields around, some beautiful with sunflowers. There are 2 neighboring houses quite close. We are in good contact with the neighbors since a long time. They have horses and dogs (attached). We see the horses from the terrace. Several beaches are at 20 km and we often go there. Closerby is a lake for swimming, in Apremont at about 10 km. In the municipality of Aizenay at 7 km is a big supermarket HyperU and a number of shops and bakeries. At about 5 km is Beaulieu with a small Spar and bakery. The area is great for cycling. We love to go on our race bikes (biciclette grand vitesse).
