Les Coumayres consists of four self contained gites, three of which are connected by our 'secret passage', Each rustic gite has their own bedrooms, bathrooms, living and dining spaces, kitchen and outdoor terrace including outdoor furniture, along with a cosy wood burner and electric heating in most rooms. Gite Les Cathares has a large room where you can eat together. Or if the weather is good there are outdoor tables to seat up to twenty people and wonderful stone BBQ. There are numerous terraces, all of which are lit in the evening which provides a magical atmosphere. You can relax watching the sunset on our outdoor sofas and be surrounded by wild and beautiful nature. In summer the heated pool is securely gated and provides a paradise to relax and have fun. Parents can sunbath while their children explore the adventure playground safely within view of the pool. The playground consists of wood climbing frame, large mesh swing, slide and trampoline. We also have a Glamping site with two domes, each accommodating up to four people with private kitchen and bathroom. If you need further accommodation please just ask! The domes have incredible panoramic views across the valley and provide unique accommodation under the stars. Les Coumayres has everything for a relaxed and stress free get together of friends, families or colleagues. The area has so much to offer, from kayaking, hiking through gorges, canyoning, zip lining or mediaeval villages with excellent local markets and restaurants.
We are an English family who renovated this beautiful 16th Century farmhouse in full and over many years. I have incredible 13 year old twins, who love to share their home with guests. For me a great life is when your work integrates with family and that's why we have this magical place. We look forward to sharing it with our guests!
Les Coumayres is ten minutes drive from the village of Riols, where you will find an excellent boulangerie, boucherie, and epicerie. The town of Saint-Pons-de-Thomieres is fifteen minutes drive and there you will find supermarkets, restaurants and other useful amenities. We are located up a small winding country road. The house is isolated, which gives it a magical, peaceful atmosphere. If you love wild nature in a beautiful national park setting then Les Coumayres is the perfect location for you to unwind and recharge.

Please contact the property before arrival if you wish to rent bed linen and towels outside of summer season (June, July and August).

We also do have swimming pool for free to our guest for the month of ( June,July,August)
