Les Tachats is situated close to the villages of Hautefort & St Agnan in the Dordogne in South West France. The complex comprises 3 Gites in a beautiful old stone cottage and stone barn conversion. Set in a peacful countryside valley, it is only minutes away on foot from all necessary amenities. At Les Tachats our guests can enjoy the 9metre x 5metre pool and a childrens paddling pool with a surrounding terrace which is fully fenced for the safety of children. There is also a childrens play area with swings, slides and a large trampoline. The property is surrounded by a 2 Acre floral landscaped Garden. The cottage benefits from a seperate enclosed back garden.
We have been hosting guests since 2008 and enjoy sharing our property with people from all countries and cultures. We live on site and are available to discreetly assist guests as they require. We have been resident since 2004 and have a keen interest in renovation and gardening. We have built our garden from scratch over the past decade.
Hautefort and St Agnan are located 40 km North East of Perigeux in the picturesque Auvezerre valley. Hautefort is a pretty hill top village which is dominated by one of the premier chateau in the Dordogne. A former medieval castle it was the birth place of Bertrand de Born the famous troubadour. The present day chateau is surrounded by a beautiful 40 hectare park with a renowned formal flower garden. The village is also home to a museum of medicine. St Agnan is also a picturesque village and stages a number of fetes and night markets during the summer season. Within the immediate surrounding area is the 'etang de coucou' a lake which offers good fishing. Lakeside Beaches, Golf, canoeing and horse riding are also within easy reach
