Your hosts look forward to welcoming you to there special "stress free zone" here in the centre of Salviac. We have been running our chambres d'hotes since 2014 and have enjoyed meeting guests from all over the world, many of who we're happy to say come back year after year. We are always delighted to share our knowledge of this beautiful area, with it's fabulous countryside and numerous little villages with very special places to eat.

We invite you to come and stay in our wonderful 19th century Bed and Breakfast, where a warm and friendly welcome awaits you throughout the year. 'Maison de Fortitude ' is located in the charming village of Salviac in the Lot, South West France. Nestled between the rivers Dordogne and the Lot is an ideal base for a holiday and explore the stunning scenery, whether on foot, by bike or car. Lot is located in the Midi-Pyrénées region, which is an area of varied landscapes, including green hills, fields of sunflowers, vineyards, limestone gorges and fertile river valleys. The climate is varied, with days in early spring, long hot summers and dry winters. We have created a wonderful B & B with individually decorated, spacious and comfortable rooms. Our substantial house is situated in its own private gardens with mature trees, lawns and pool and is surrounded by a gentle stream. The perfect place to read a book in a shady spot with a glass of wine or chill out in the sun by the pool. The choice is yours. The facilities of the village, which are all within walking distance, include restaurants and bars, a small supermarket, bakery, pharmacy and a number of interesting local shops.

We have lots of good ideas for places for you to visit like Rocamadour, Sarlat and Domme with it's spectacular views over the Dordogne river. There are lots of interesting chateau, vineyards, caves and beautiful gardens all within 30 minutes drive or less. For those of you who enjoy the water there are boat trips, some offering gourmet dining, canoeing and of course lots of lovely areas for a leisurely picnic on the banks of the rivers Lot or Dordogne. If you didn't pack the necessary picnic equipment don't worry we have cold box, ice packs, folding chairs and travel rug ready and waiting - you just have fun visiting a local market to buy your favourite food and wine.
