La Maison De La Grange offers a little bit of the magic of the lush Normandie countryside and the comforts of home from home. We offer large open plan living area which is light and airy ,a large table for families to enjoy eating together in a well equipped kitchen. Should it be required there is a wood burning stove and very comfortable seating in the living area. Upstairs our bedrooms are also light, airy and comfortable. We can offer a extra bed or a cot for small children in our large family bedroom if required. We have a family bathroom and one ensuite bathroom in the second double bedroom. Two single bedrooms. Outside, the garden is wrapped around the house and the barn which is opposite the house. The above ground private pool, unheated but open from May so its usually warmer by June has views over the fields but remains private. We are 330 metres above sea level and the night skies can be magical here as we have little light pollution and a telescope is available. A rural location with lush green grass, the house is south facing and benefits from sun all day. Our large walnut tree gives great shade on a hot day and our pool offers a cool swim. There is a outside BBQ area and terrace with a dining area and loungers to relax on. We have high speed super fast fibre broad band, games, television if needed and privacy for you to enjoy your holiday. The surrounding fields are maize, corn or grazing cattle. The garden is fully fenced and gated. The drive is gravel and also gated with plenty of parking. We are next to a road but it is not a major road and traffic is local or agricultural. La Maison De La Grange is a relaxing and wonderful place to enjoy and make memories.

La Maison De La Grange, has been a long renovation and a labour of love, but we think it's been worth it. We have been holidaying here since the early nineties when our children were young, (they even still come back)! Pleased to say that those that have been here absolutely love it as do we, and hope that you enjoy the place created for you to have fun and make your own memories. A relaxing and lovely place to lay your head. Our own house is across the drive, but we have strived to make both properties private to each other.

The Voie Verte (cycling/walking path) is only 50m from the house and provides miles of cycling and walking on a good surface and gentle gradient. There is plenty of room for all ages to enjoy La Maison De La Grange. We are 5-6 kilometres from Sourdeval, a pretty market town that offers all amenities and a very good electric bike hire!! This is a good location for exploring, the roads are made for all cyclists and motorcyclists or any driver as they wind through the countryside. There are many charming French villages to discover within easy reach of us. We are 25 minutes to the towns of Conde-sur-Noireau (30km) and Clecy(40km) in the Suisse Normandie. The towns of Lonlay-Abbaye and medieval Domfront is not to be missed. Vire is 10km north of our location offering a wider range of shops and restaurants. The Viaduc De La Souleuvre (Skypark) offers adventures from Bungee jumping, Zip Wire, Giant Swing, Luge and The Barefoot Garden. Closer still is Lake Dathee (9km). A beautiful lake with watersports and a 6 km walk around its shoreline . The local Golf course which is next to the lake is also open to the public. The town of Granville (54km) commands stunning views of the Bay of Le Mont Saint-Michel, a world famous heritage site. Bayeaux (76km) a beautiful Normandie town with a stunning cathedral and famous tapestry. The landing beaches of Omaha (109km),Juno,Gold, Arromanches are along that coast line. A living memorial to the 2nd World War, museums and memorials. Caen also. All are well worth a visit. Normandie has lots of castles brimming with history and closest to us are Falaise (61km) past the towns of Flers and Fougeres(60km) towards Rennes, but ultimately if you just want to eat, drink and relax in the beauty of Normandie then look no further as you will find it here in Chaulieu. We are 330 metres above sea level and in Chaulieu we have a look at tower with views for miles around. Our night skies can be spectacular as no light pollution.
