This Maison de Maitre was built in 1825 and originally served as a pharmacy and house of the local doctor. In 2005, it was completely restored with great attention to detail. Today it is known in the village as "Maison au pierre" because of its beautiful exterior and interior design. We have owned the house since 2008 and are continuously improving the rooms, garden and exterior to maintain the unique charm of the house. The house itself is very spacious and all rooms are larger than normal with high ceilings to maintain a comfortable temperature all year round. The hidden garden is well sheltered in this windy area and opens at the back to the park of Chateau de Luc. A large salt water pool with lounge area is open for our guests. Central heating allows us to welcome guests during autumn and winter when they can benefit from multiple open fireplaces. The house is ideal for groups of up to 8 people travelling together. A light-flooded separate seminar room with terrace can be booked upon request. We see our house as a "soul harbour" and have always welcomed friends and guests to stay with us.

We love our house and the area surrounding it, so we love to share it with guests and friends. We want you to feel comfortable, relax and absorb the positive energy of this house. Maison la vie est belle is conveniently located between Narbonne and Carcassonne and only 100km from the Spanish border. The nearest airports are Carcassonne (40km), Beziers (65km) or Toulouse (145km). The house is the perfect starting point for excursions - especially bicycle tours - to the Corbiere/Minervois region, which is rich in history. The Mediterranean beaches of Narbonne Plage and Gruissan are 30km away. Narbonne offers a beautiful historic old town, the legendary market halls (les Halles), the unfinished cathedral and the Canal de Roubin, as well as a new Norman Foster designed new museum (Narbovia) and many other attractions and festivals. Narbonne is also known for its many good restaurants, including "Les Grands Buffets". The Alaric invites you to a mountain hike through the Corbiere and rewards you with a breathtaking view of the Pyrenees, the Montagne Noire and all the way to the Mediterranean. The area also offers a wide range of sporting activities, from fishing to parachuting, jet skiing or stand-up paddling, hiking or cycling and golf (9 holes; Golf Santa Rosa, Narbonne).
