Im English and my wife is from Kazakhstan, we both work remotely and split our time across our houses in England, Greece and France. We have tried to refurbish our houses sympathetically to reflect the beauty and style of area, whilst making them modern and comfortable. As we live in each of our homes for part of the year, you’ll be staying in a genuine home and not in a soulless rental accommodation.

'La Maison Gavraise' is our 8 (5+3) bedroom house + gite in the centre of Gavray that can accommodate up to 16 people Built in 1868, our stone house is one of the largest and most private houses in Gavray. It is set in a private walled garden in the centre of the town. We have converted the adjacent barn to accommodate 6 additional guests. NO EXTRA CHARGES: All linen, bedding, logs, gas, parking, extra guests are all included in the same price. For us, hosting is about sharing our home and helping to make your trip as comfortable and stress free as possible. The main house is spacious and has 3 floors. large dining living area with an additional dining table so you can host large dinners / parties. Fully equipped kitchen, 2 full bathrooms + separate toilet on the ground floor. One of the bedrooms also has its own free standing bath. The Gite / Annexe is 3 x double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. One room (on the ground floor) can be arranged as a Super King bed or as 2 x singles. Both of the upstairs rooms have private bathrooms. The lounges in both houses have wood fires and we provide logs at no extra cost. We have a bbq and patio furniture and the garden is ideal for relaxing, cooking and playing games. The trees and walls make the garden surprisingly private, given that the house is in the centre of the town. We provide gas for the BBQ at no extra cost. We have parking for 4 + cars (with additional free parking outside in the town square) Pets are allowed. The garden is secure with no road access (when the gates are closed) Both kitchens are well equipped and both have dishwashers. We have Bosch Tassimo coffee machines in each property. Both the house and the barn have smart TV's in the lounge and you can connect to your Netflix account etc. We have fast Starlink WIFI and there is no limit to usage. The main house has an office with a desk if you need to work from home. We have a travel cots and highchairs available (no extra charge) Linen & towels inc.

Gavray is a great little town in Normandy. 30 mins from Granville and just over an Hr from Caen and Cherbourg. 55 mins to Mont San Michel You are also close to the Normandy D Day memorials and beaches The town is on the river Sienne and used to be the seat of Henry I. King of England and France. The ruins of his hill fort can be visited and offer a great viewpoint above the town. There are a couple of bars and restaurants, 3 boulangeries, pharmacy, butchers, post office, ATM, take out pizza place and a great market on a Saturday. Fresh Normandy mussels are 3 eur a kilo and are just the best! The area is fairly agricultural and if you know were to go, there are good farms selling Cidre etc dotted around We have parking for 4+ cars. But if you need more, we can probably squeeze you in. Otherwise, there is the free parking in the town square opposite. The nearest main train station is villedieu Les poeles. (10min drive away) But tbh, you probably need a car to get around in Normandy We are always happy to do our best to accommodate early check ins / late check outs (at no extra cost), so please contact us if you would like to request this and we will try to accommodate you. Self check in is available through a key safe if you arrive out of normal hours or we are not available to meet you.
