Rose Cottage is part of Les Gites De Meterville situated in the village of Gorges in the Manche region of Normandie. Rose is one of three separate holiday cottages on site. We can accommodate larger groups (of up to 15 people altogether) by arrangement. It can accommodate up to five guests. There is a double bedroom, a twin and a small single bedroom. Cots can be provided for an additional fee. Rose cottage is also pet friendly for an additional charge. The cottage has a number of electric heaters available to ensure that occupancy all year round is comfortable and enjoyable. Rose also has a self-contained kitchen and dining area as well as a seperate lounge and a bathroom plus an additional toilet. It has access to a private garden as well as access to a communal courtyard with secure off-road parking.

Tom and Jodie started visiting France in 2004 as part of the Mazda MX5 Owners club. They fell in love with the country and spent many years visiting different parts of France. They found that their favourite type of summer holiday was to take the ferry from the UK and head to a self-catering Gite in rural France. This gave rise to the dream of running and owning a Gite complex of their own. In 2019 that dream came true and they simply love the peace and tranquillity of their new lifestyle. As a passionate golfer, Tom intends to work his way around the many golf courses that Normandy has to offer! They are pet loving and will always welcome guests and their four-legged friends by prior arrangement. We have a dog, Flo, who loves to greet guests; two cats, five hens and a cockerel. Having taken holidays in France as a couple, with a small group of friends and as part of bigger groups, Tom and Jodie know how important it is for guests to have a lovely home from home, and are guaranteed to offer a warm welcome.

Les Gites De Meterville is situated in the rural village of Gorges in the Manche region of Normandy. It is a quiet location well off the beaten track but with great access to major tourist attractions. The property is well located for easy access to ferry ports: • Cherbourg @50 minutes • Caen @70 minutes • St Malo and La Havre @2 hours The Chunnel can be reached in about four hours. There is a bar in the local village that is less than 20 minutes walk. The bar is also a small convenience store so provisions such as bread, croissants, milk and other essentials can be easily purchased. The neaby towns of Periers (<3 miles) and Carentan (@7 miles) more choice for supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. Once in Gorges we are less than 30 minutes from Utah Beach and other significant D-Day attractions. Caen and Bayeaux can be reached in < an hour. The nearest dog friendly beach is only 22 minutes away by car. Within Manche there are two zoos, a national park, numerous D-Day museums and a wide variety of outdoor activities that include, golf, pony trekking, walking and sailing.
