Henley-in-Arden is situated between Birmingham & Straford-upon-Avon, just north of the Cotswolds. The listed mile long High Street contains historic buildings from Medieval, Tudor, Georgian & Victorian Eras. There is an excellent selection of numerous independent bars, restaurants and cafes. (I counted 5 pubs, 4 independent restaurants, 3 Indians, 2 Chinese, a pizza parlour, 4 cafes & a sandwich shop.....& a fish & chip shop !!) … most also do a takeaway service. Both Cafe 86b & Henley Bakery serve breakfast & they are a few doors away. There are two small supermarkets, a bakery, deli & butchers for those wishing to self cater. Henley has a Summer Music Festival, regular Morris Dancers & an annual Tractor Run (with over 100 participants) Henley's own Heritage Centre is of special interest if you wish to find out more about the town's long history. Henley train station provides quick access to Birmingham city centre (30 min) & Stratford-upon-Avon (15 min) & is less than a 5 minute walk from the property. There is also a local bus service (X20) from B'ham to Stratford M40/M42 connection is 3 miles north. The National Exhibition Centre (NEC) & neighbouring Birmingham Airport & National Motorcycle museum - are 15 minutes drive away. Birmingham - 15 miles (National Sea life Centre, Museum & Art Gallery, Library, Symphony Hall, Bullring Shopping Centre, Hippodrome & Alexander Theatres, Jewellery Quarter, Villa Park, Utilita Arena) Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare is just 8 miles away (12 mins drive).
