Firth Square is a quiet cul-de-sac, with free parking, in the heart of Kirkwall. The house has everything you should need. Free Wi-Fi throughout. The kitchen is equipped with a hob, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, dishwasher and a washer drier machine as well as a selection of utensils and cookware. The lounge has comfortable sofas, a flat-screen Smart TV with Free-view. The lounge has a double socket with 2 USB charging ports. The lounge, galley kitchen and dining area is on the ground floor. The first floor had the toilet/shower room and large double bedroom. All bedding, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are provided free of charge. An iron and ironing board are also provided. The attic bedroom is accessed by a narrow wooden staircase. This is not suitable for very young children or people with mobility difficulties. A welcome and information booklet is provided. Guests are asked to pay particular heed to the fire and safety instructions.

It is a few minutes’ walk to the centre of town. There you will find, not only the iconic St Magnus Cathedral, Tankerness House Museum and the Earl's and Bishop's Palaces but a multitude of independent shops stocking everything from our world-famous jewellery, local designer clothes and fabrics as well as our award-winning cheeses, wines, whiskies and Real Ales. There are local shops stocking everything from fresh sandwiches and baking to herbal teas and toothpaste within a 2-minute walk. The three main supermarkets, Lidl, Tesco and the Co-op, are also less than a 5-minute walk from the house. There are a multitude of eateries from take-aways, pub grub to quality dining all within a 10-minute walk. The Tourist Information Centre, bus station and ferries to the North Isles are all within easy walking distance from the house as is the sports and leisure complex, The Pickaquoy Centre, which houses swimming and leisure pools, health suite and cinema.
