Me? I live on a boat within paddling distance from the campsite. I've been here 3 years and living on the water has been one of my best decisions. Having backpacked as a young man (travel has been my companion all my life!), I have since lived in a log cabin for 2 years. So, I knew I could live on a boat when the inspiration came to me! I run with Maidstone River parkrun along the toepath most Saturdays, which is less than a 3 minute walk from the campsite. And I am currently learning to skipper the 'Kentish Lady', Maidstone-based river passenger boat cruises - (and I would fully recommend that!). One of the things that I recognise about myself, is that I love to share my experiences. Waking up to stunning views on the water is great on my own but I want others to not miss out on what I have been so lucky to enjoy! Allington Castle – Step into history with a guided tour via the Kentish Lady Riverboat (Tuesdays only, departing Maidstone).
