An Traigh Cabin is Ideally Situated Just 5 minutes from the town of Portree the capital of Skye here you can find a good selection of Shops & Restaurants. The Cabin is set in a rural quiet setting by the sea boasting spectacular views of the old Man of Storr. There is also a secluded beach near by within walking distance. An Traigh is centrally located for touring the island, ideal for a quiet relaxing holiday with all home comforts .With a small kitchenette you will be able to prepare basic meals if preferred and when the sun shines you can relax and unwind with the outside seating on the patio.

We look forward to your visit to An Traigh Cabin. We take great pride in our cabin and want you to enjoy it and have a great holiday and take away with you some lovely memories. I love the island and want to share this with all our guests. Hosting is a rewarding and satisfying work . My main aim is to make guests feel at home and help with any enquires they may have. I enjoy taking short walks around the area, My other hobbies are reading , cooking and catching up with family.

You can enjoy walks around the area .close by there is a forestry walk with panoramic views. There is Isle of Skye Candle Company only 5 minutes in the car which has a gifts shop,Cinema and restaurant .There are ample restaurants ,Takeaways and shops in the town centre only 7 mins by car. There are 2 supermarkets both co-op stores, one smaller in the village of Portree and a larger one on the outskirts of the village on Dunvegan road.The larger one is ideal if you have a car as there is free parking. If you enjoy a longer walk 9 miles south of the area are the cuillin hills where you can walk up the glen at the foot of the mountain range ,you will find the Sligachan Hotel here also where you can eat have coffee or drinks. The property is centrally situated to visit the many local places of interest i.e Old Man of Storr, Fairy Pools, Dunvegan Castle,.Quaraing, Talisker Distillery, Ferry to Island of Rasaay to name but a few.
