Roland and Su would like to welcome you to the newly refurbished van der Plas family home where we are happy to have you enjoy our wonderful views. We both love cycling and walking and Roland would enjoy talking bikes with you. Su loves crafting and would be happy to share some wellbeing practices with you to help you relax in this stunning location.

Aquila is a great base for walking and cycling. The River Earn is accessible via a ten minute walk through the garden gate. In one direction lies the delightful village of Comrie with bespoke craft shops, cafe, restaurants, pub as well as walks up to the stunning Deils Cauldron waterfall. Take the other direction along the river to the WW2 prisoner of war camp, Cultybraggan and be steeped in this fascinating experience which includes museum, information boards and cafe not to mention the local allotments and orchard. Further along the road is Auchingarrich Wildlife Park - with great views, amazing animals and delicious food. Longer walks into Glenartney and the hills are easily accessible from the house. There are easy cycling routes to the town of Crieff or St Fillans village and the picturesque Loch Earn with its water sport centres and cosy waterside beach stops. Do try a tasty treat at the local village shop!
