We are a family of four and one dog. We have been visiting Wells-Next-The-Sea and the surrounding Norfolk coastline since the children were very small, and the space and layout at Avocet House is perfect for our family and we hope very much it suits your needs too. Wells-Next-The-Sea has everything we love. Long stretches of beautiful sandy beaches, excellent walking, fabulous places to eat and lots of shopping! A modern three bedroom holiday home, sleeping up to six people, in the popular North Norfolk seaside town of Wells-Next-The-Sea. Private or free on street parking available, and a large fully enclosed garden to enjoy those sunny days! The house is perfectly positioned for a quick walk down to the Quayside, shopping on Staithe Street and the town has an excellent choice of cafes and restaurants and even gourmet meals on the historic Buttlands!

Wells-Next-The- Sea is ever popular for it's beautiful stretches of sandy beach and the dunes which are backed by many colourful beach huts and the stunning Pine Tree Woods. Walk past the last of the beach huts for 1.5 miles or so and you'll find Holkham and it's nature reserve woods and beaches. Enjoy a coffee stop at The LookOut or walk further up into Holkham to enjoy a view of the deer in the estate grounds or have a go on the Adventure Playground! Whether you decide to collect shells, fly a kite, play boules or cricket or just build a sand castle, this is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and deservedly so! For nature lovers, you can spot oyster catchers and ringed plovers, who nest on the beach, along with some common and little terns. You can also take a trip up to the RSPB Nature Reserve at Titchwell marshes to learn more. The busy fishing Quay and the Granary at Wells-Next-The-Sea continue to be popular with children fishing for crabs from the edge of the quay, spending pennies at the amusement arcade, the ice cream and the sweet shops. You can also buy cockles and crab sticks from the fresh fish stall and watch the fishing boats come and go. The freshly caught seafood is a speciality in many of the local restaurants, and eating fish and chips on the quayside is a popular pastime.
