Established in 2017, Bolthole Retreats markets and lets some of the finest luxury holiday properties throughout the Cotswolds, taking in the counties of Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, South Warwickshire and Worcestershire and parts of Wiltshire and Bath and northeast Somerset in the south. Barns Lee is a gorgeous barn conversion, which thanks to its sensitive design, is now a secluded and stylish space, perfectly suited to modern living. The origins of the barn date back to the 1880s and many original features remain. There is charm and character in abundance with stone floors, oak beams, wood burning stoves and exposed Cotswold stone walls, whilst modern influences sit comfortably alongside with a superb, super-sociable kitchen and dining space, a light-filled garden room, five bedrooms and three bathrooms. Outside, is equally as impressive, with a south-facing, sheltered garden surrounded by mature trees. The lower part of the garden boasts a heated swimming pool for fun-filled summer days and tucked in alongside the house there’s a hot tub too. Barns Lee welcomes a maximum of eight adults. Please note a 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. This is fully refundable up to 60 days of arrival when your remaining balance payment is due. It is the policy of this property not to take bookings for groups where the majority of guests are under the age of 30, or single-sex group celebrations, including stag/hen parties.Family groups are welcome. Please note that additional guests above the maximum capacity are not permitted. The maximum number of adults for any booking at Barns Lee is 8. There is CCTV overlooking the drive only for security purposes. A security deposit of 500GBP is required when booking this property. The pool is open from mid-April to end of September (weather dependent), and may be used between the hours of 10 am and 9 pm. Please make yourself aware of the hot tub rules and hours of use. An additional fee of 150GBP applies and it must be requested at the time of booking.  Noise monitor: there is an external noise monitor in place which records the level of sound.

The peaceful village of Eastcourt offers the best of both worlds, a tranquil location yet easy access to a myriad of Cotswold attractions. The neighbouring village of Crudwell has an excellent pub and both Tetbury (7 miles) and Malmesbury (6 miles) offer a wealth of eating options. Cirencester is only 9 miles away and is often referred to as the capital of the Cotswolds. Water babies will love the chain of lakes that make up the Cotswold Water Park, which is less than a 10-minute drive and the magnificent Westonbirt Arboretum is under 10 miles. Supermarkets and Shopping: Malmesbury (6 miles) has a large Waitrose along with a Co-Operative food store and Premier Express for quick-grab essentials. Tetbury (7 miles) has a Tesco whilst there is also a Tesco and a Waitrose in Cirencester (8 miles). We are lucky enough to also have a couple of excellent deli’s nearby including Lola & Co, Peartree Deli and Martin & Malthouse in Tetbury. Eating Out: • The Potting Shed, Crudwell – a friendly local pub with good food, accommodating to dietary requirements (1.6 miles) • The Close, Tetbury – hotel with a nice bar area and restaurant. Good for brunch, lunch, and dinner (6.4 miles) • The Cat & Custard Pot Inn, Shipton Moyne – traditional pub food and a popular little pizza room with a wood-burning stove (8.9 miles) There are also a wide variety of dining options in Tetbury and Malmesbury. Walks: The Potting Shed is within walking distance and there are lots of lovely walks in the surrounding area.
