Brackenslack Shepherds Huts offer three modern, luxurious, spacious, shepherd’s huts situated on our farm in the Eden Valley, Cumbria with spectacular scenery and views of the rolling fields, woodlands and the Pennines. Each are individually styled with a cosy log burner, private outdoor copper bathtub, fire pit BBQ and seating to enjoy the stunning views. Brackenslack Shepherd Huts is nestled between the Lake district and the Yorkshire Dales National Park which makes us a perfect destination to explore. There is an EV charging point on site.

Brackenslack Shepherd’s Huts is a family-run retreat, lovingly managed by Lizzie and Kevin. Nestled on their working farm in the heart of the Eden Valley, Cumbria, this hidden gem is surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. In 2016, the area became part of the Westmorland Dales, a recognition of its stunning landscapes and unspoiled charm, making it a truly special place to escape and unwind. We love where we live and what the area has to offer and can’t wait to share it with you all!

Whether you’re interested in hiking, wild swimming, exploring local attractions or simply stargazing at night, our beautiful location in the Eden Valley, Cumbria provides the perfect setting for your next adventure. The historic market town of Appleby-in-Westmorland is a 10-minute’ drive away, with its range of independent shops, pubs/cafes, walks and a castle to explore. Appleby-in-Westmorland train station is also on the iconic Settle to Carlisle railway line.
