Our cosy Cabin is set in 6 Acres of Ancient woodland, so surrounded by tall Spruce trees, hazel, holly and willow you are at one with nature, and a chance to immerse yourself in the flora and fauna. Watch and listen to the wildlife as you watch the sunset. We operate an OFF-GRID, back to basic's and as eco-friendly as possible site. Follow the Country Code and 'Leave as you find' policy. We are NOT a glamping site but offer a bit more than simple camping. Hot shower facility, gas cooking hob with well equipped kitchenette, log burning stove, candlelit environment only! Relax and switch off from the draw of modern day electrical devices! (Although mobile signal is good) The bedroom incorporates a comfy double bed and sheet supplied BUT ALL other BEDDING & TOWELS ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY! There is a HiGear camp bed suitable for younger children (ages 1-10 years) or in the main living/cooking area are two sofa beds, which older children may use. We cannot accept pets and do not allow smoking inside. A firepit and picnic bench are complementary for your stay. Logs can be purchased from ourselves onsite. There is a short walk from our private carpark to the Cabin as we do not allow vehicles into the woodland.

We enjoy sharing our woodland and our site is very popular with general tent, hammock or bivvy campers, hikers, walkers, one night stopovers and cyclists alike. We welcome each guest on arrival and give you a quick personal tour of our site before leaving you to settle in and unwind. We have 2 pet kunekune pigs who do like to meet and greet! Our honey and eggs are also available to purchase if we haven't already sold out! We aren't an ordinary campsite we have set our pitches, Cabin and Shepherds hut good distances apart so each guest can have their own private, peaceful area to themselves.

The quiet, peaceful, natural environment. Village pub within walking distance, and others in local area are short drives away. Adjacent footpath/bridleways. We are a half hour car journey away from historic towns, the Jurassic coast, sandy beaches and many other Dorset attractions should you wish to venture further than our woodland. Most famously Dorset is the home of Sir Walter Raleigh, Vice-Admiral Hardy, Mary Anning, William Barnes, Thomas Hardy and Lawrence of Arabia to name but a few! Sir Brian May of the rock band Queen owns the woodland behind our cottage /adjacent to the campsite - but don't expect to set eyes on him as he doesn't frequent his land regularly.
