Located in a small hamlet of 4 properties beside a 13th century Kirk, this peaceful cottage lies off the main road to St Andrews just ouside the historic village of Pitlessie. A varied selection of local birdlife can be viewed through the large breakfast window. The name "Cantrip" refers to a mischievous spirit from a poem by Robert Burns.
Your hostess Gillie has spent many years in the hospitality industry.
The area offers easy access to local attractions including 6 championship qualifying golf courses, Cambo House which is famous for its display of snowdrops in February and the Fife Coastal path which takes you through the quaint fishing villages of Lower Largo, Elie, St Monans, Anstruther and Crail forming the East Neuk coastal area. The historic and world renowned town of St Andrews is a mere 20 minutes away. Edinburgh can be reached by train from Cupar Station or by local bus in about an hour.
