Perfect for a romantic couples getaway or the ideal base for an extended stay to explore Antrim's famous coast and glens. The West Wing has a kitchen/dining area downstairs and a living room, double bedroom and bathroom upstairs with smart tv's upstairs and down and good wifi. A spacious, 53sqm in size, the property has exclusive use of the side lawn and free parking. Surrounded by gardens and set in a beautiful landscape, The West Wing is ideal for a rural getaway and great for walking, cycling, fishing or climbing the local mountain, Slemish, where St Patrick tended sheep. The local, award winning village of Broughshane is only half a mile away with coffee shops, grocers and a great pub. Further afield are the glens, the famous coastal road for a scenic drive and Glenarm Castle and Gardens less than 20 minutes away. Belfast is just 40 minutes to the south for the Titanic Museum and the same distance again to the North is Portrush for golf or the Giants Causeway. Welcome to Carncairn, where the Reade family have lived for 5 generations. I moved back here with my wife, Amy and our young son in 2025 to take over the running of the property from my parents who still live on the estate. Amy is an artist and designer who delights in keeping up the garden with my mother, Pamela, who has transformed the environs over the past 30 years. Like my father, Richard, I am a cabinet maker who is relishing in the opportunity to continue the upkeep of Carncairn and to slowly bring our own style to the house and gardens. Situated well away from the road our guests love the rural tranquility, beautiful gardens and local area as much as we do. We enjoy meeting our guests but appreciate that most of them come to stay for weddings, exploring, seeing family or just getting away and pick us for the tranquility and secluded nature of the property, so after meeting on arrival we respect your privacy unless you wish or need to contact us. Broughshane is situated in the picturesque Braid River Valley only 40 minutes from the Giants Causeway, the north coast, Royal Portrush golf club and Belfast. We are 25 minutes from Belfast international Airport and only 15 minutes from the pretty seaside villages of Glenarm and Carnlough on the famous Coast Road. We are close to Slemish Mountain so ideal for climbing, biking, walking, golf, visiting the sights or just relaxing in nature. Carncairn is a perfect rural base from which to explore.
