Stay in a beautifully restored thatched cottage built around 1713, blending historic character with modern comfort. The rear stone wall dates back to the 12th century and is a protected monument, while parts of Kenilworth Castle can be seen from the garden. Set beside a 68-acre nature reserve, the cottage is perfectly placed to enjoy peaceful walks and wildlife. Just a few minutes’ stroll brings you to Kenilworth’s Old Town, home to cosy pubs, stylish bars, and restaurants — including The Cross, our local Michelin-starred favourite. Within easy reach of Warwick Castle, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick University, and Jaguar Land Rover, this is an ideal base for exploring Warwickshire’s history and countryside. Kenilworth Station is only 1 mile away, offering direct links to Coventry and Leamington Spa. Please note: a minimum stay of 2 nights applies.
I’m Helen, I’ve owned and lovingly restored this historic thatched cottage for over 15 years. I am a dedicated host for guests who value comfort, character, and a touch of history — and I’m always happy to recommend the best local walks, pubs, and hidden gems in Kenilworth. Whether you're here for the castle, countryside walks, local architecture, or fantastic restaurants and independent shops (all within easy walking distance), this cottage offers a comfortable and memorable base for your stay. My goal is to make your visit feel truly magical – with thoughtful touches and warm hospitality that have helped us earn consistent 10/10 guest reviews. If you have any questions during your stay, I’m always on hand to help make your experience seamless.
Kenilworth is a beautiful historic town in the heart of leafy Warwickshire, surrounded by heritage, countryside, and charm. The cottage sits in Kenilworth’s Old Town, overlooking the 68-acre Abbey Fields nature reserve — with peaceful walks, a lake, picnic areas, tennis courts, and a leisure centre right on your doorstep. Kenilworth Castle and its Elizabethan Garden are just a short stroll away, as are independent cafés, pubs, and The Cross, our local Michelin-starred restaurant. Everything is within walking distance, so you won’t need a car to enjoy the town. For exploring further, Kenilworth Station (1 mile) and local buses provide easy links to Warwick, Leamington Spa, and Coventry. The NEC (10 miles), Birmingham International Airport (11 miles), and Warwick University (2.6 miles) are all within easy reach. It’s an ideal base for visiting Shakespeare’s England, including Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, and the Cotswolds.
