El histórico Cathedral Gate, que data del año 1438, se encuentra en el centro de Canterbury. Además, el establecimiento, que en su día albergaba peregrinos, es anterior a la entrada contigua de la catedral de Canterbury y cuenta con vigas de madera y suelo inclinado. Cathedral is undergoing refurbishments work at the rear of the hotel. Works may take place from 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday.

Due to the nature of the building, there are quite a lot of stairs.

The hotel is in a central location in the pedestrianised city centre, however, guests are welcome to drive to the hotel's front door for unloading prior to parking.

Parking vouchers for the public car park cost GBP 13 for 24-hours parking.
