The Olde Englishe Apartment is with in a converted hotel above two very good pubs which serve food. Been in the middle of Matlock where a lot of pubs & restaurants are it can get a little noisy at times. Its a great location next to the A6 bus stop and 2 minutes walk from the award winning park. I am an experienced host, I constantly replace & renew bedding, linen and anything else which may look tired or worn to give the guest a home from from feeling. My aim is to take all the stress from packing, just bring yourself, food & toiletries everything else is there. Walk through the door, relax and your holiday starts. Big sash windows over looks the street, so there is always something to look at whilst having a coffee or what ever your tipple is. Décor is based on a NYC loft apartment with 12ft ceilings. I leave a small welcome pack of tea coffee sugar milk & biscuits to enjoy on your arrival. There are stairs entering the apartment & no garden. With this in mind I don't recommend it with people with walking difficulties or young children. Recently to give a more quality experience the apartment has been changed to maximum occupancy of 2 people. Its a fun, romantic escape ..Enjoy.

I live in Matlock, not far from the apartment should you need me. Although I wont be at your door unless you want me. Born & breed in Matlock I came back hear after travelling around the world and living abroad. I know what I want when I travel and stay away from home & strive to provide that comfort at an affordable price to my guests. I take a lot of pride in the apartment, I wash all the linen after each guest departs.... Its a labour of love but the main event is a big comfy bed in my opinion, all pillows and quilts are feather down. I also change all the loose covers on the sofas, use lovely fragrance so people are happy and relaxed as soon as they walk in. I just want my guests to love and enjoy there experience whilst staying at the apartment .

The apartment is about the best location in my opinion for a visit to Matlock. Above two very popular pubs Remarkable Hare & Hare. With public transport links, bus stop outside the door, train stain & bus station 4 minute walk away. Public carparking directly behind the building (paid) You can not be more central. The Main attraction is Hayles Park which is a few foot steps from the front door, with boating lake, miniature train ( Little David) free ping pong tables. swings, slides, paddling pool, tennis courts, bowling green, bandstand, flower beds, open green spaces for playing, sitting, relaxing & character café. Often holding events from outdoor cinema in the summer, to Victorian Markets in the winter months. Hosting a outdoor market on each Wednesday at the top of the park. If like us you enjoy restaurants, coffee bars, brunch, lunch and dinner with cocktail hour thrown in then your in the perfect spot with all these amenities with an abundance eatery's on your door step. Dale Road is a vibrant area with antique emporiums, tea shops, vintage rooms, specialised cloths, toiletry's carpet, kitchen & furniture shops. All giving you somewhere to browse next to the apartment.
