Bookingcom Traveller Review Awards 2024 winning Chalet Brightstone was comprehensively refurbished to a premium standard in 2022 with a new kitchen, new bathroom, new cloakroom, a new deck and complete internal redecoration in a contemporary style. Located in Kingsdown Holiday park it is the perfect location for a coastal retreat for families or friends. Our refurbishment focused on comfort with award winning "Emma" beds and mattresses throughout, upgraded insulation, vortex fans for heating or cooling in the bedrooms and underfloor heating in the lounge. We also wanted to be environmentally conscious with energy saving lighting, A rated appliances (where possible) and water saving taps. We provide an extensive DVD library, board games and outdoor sports equipment including Tennis rackets, badminton set, table tennis bats, putters and balls for the onsite mini golf, French boules and a Jacques Croquet set. The kitchen has a range of Bosch appliances including a full-size dishwasher, full-size fridge freezer, oven, microwave and an induction hob. We provide high quality crockery, glassware, kitchen utensils as well as a range of oven trays and pots and pans. A washing machine is also provided. The deck has a large Campingas BBQ with grill and hotplate. We provide BBQ tools including a full hibachi grill set for use on the hotplate. Our rental price is all inclusive to include energy (some Kingsdown chalets still have pound coin meters), free Wi-Fi, professional cleaning before arrival and fresh "hotel" quality bedding and towels.

We bought Brightstone after two excellent family holidays at Kingsdown Holiday Park. The location is fantastic and the on-site swimming pool, tennis court, crazy golf and extensive gardens were a huge hit with our kids. On refurbishment we wanted the property to offer a boutique hotel style feel whilst retaining the original charm of the original chalet styling, It is our contemporary take on the classic Kent coastal holiday. As the Holiday Park is purpose-built holiday accommodation (and not second homes) we find the village very welcoming to its guests, particularly at the three excellent local pubs. Like us many of the guests come year after year and the park has a very friendly atmosphere. It is particularly good for children during the school holidays where they will make new friends quickly around the various park amenities. Outside the school holidays the park provides an excellent location for walking, cycling or watersports and is a great place to relax with friends looking for a retro Kent holiday vibe. It is a short drive to Folkestone, the Kent vineyards and ever popular Whitstable Bay. Deal is a pleasant 2 mile walk down the beach and has some excellent pubs and restaurants. In season you can buy fresh catch of the day direct from the boats on Deal beach and there is a great farm shop at Wilmer and great local butchers, greengrocer etc in Deal.

Kingsdown is a former fishing village located at the top of the famous White Cliffs between Dover and Deal. The village offers 3 excellent pubs, a deli / butchers and a cornershop. Deal offers extensive shopping facilities and is a short drive away or a very pleasant walk along the beach. The holiday park has extensive sports facilities (Tennis, Indoor Swimming Pool, table tennis, volleyball) and we have a wide range of sports equipment available within the chalets as well as an extensive DVD library and collection of classic board games
