Our cottage is surrounded by farms and hills, a perfect spot for a getaway. There are walking paths in front of the house, leading you through the stunning Welsh landscape; Llyn Tegid (Lake Bala) is a 5 minute drive away and Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon) 60 minutes. The magnificent beaches by the Llyn Peninsula are only 45m away. We wanted to create a place that would be easy to settle into, for us - as this is our holiday home - and for guests who may come for the first time. We've made a list of what we like and appreciate when we book a place ourselves, and hope you share our priorities and taste: - checkout at 2:00 pm to ease the morning rush on the day you leave - an LP player for music - a good coffee percolator and a coffee press for coffee lovers - good quality beds and a choice of pillows - professionally cleaned and easy to keep clean - a wood burner and wood - a washing machine - the kitchen is well equipped so that you can really cook - there is a slow cooker which is useful when out on a hike all day - unlimited WIFI (high speed 4g, absolutely fine for, streaming, zoom, etc.) - there are lots of things for kids to play with - for young parents we've arranged the essentials to make life easier The sunny front porch, which is protected from wind, has a large picnic table. The elevated back garden has a terrace. Both gardens offer views over the fields and hills. The house is small, but cosy, well-equipped and efficiently furnished. For babies and toddlers there is a Deryan toddler-sleeping tent with a fitting mattress.

We are a Dutch family of 4. When we lived in London we came to the house roughly every other weekend. We now live in the Netherlands and come to the cottage during the holidays. We bought the house in 2018 and from the start have furnished it with the aim of renting it out, so it holds the middle between a homely weekend house and a B&B. We are in the middle of refurbishing the cottage now (mid-2024) to make sure the beds, walls and utilities are up to date and refreshed so that both our guests and we ourselves can enjoy our time in a pristine cottage in this pristine countryside. Our caretaker for the cottage, who lives just up the roaf, keeps an eye on the cottage and will be there to help if we can't help you from a distance.
