Stonecarrs co uk, has been running for 6 years we have 2 cottages, one in Westgate in Weardale and this one in Alston, I have lived in the North Pennines since 2004, coming from the South East, love the countryside, views, walks, riding on the fells, the people, you will find it very quiet still very much undiscovered.

A perfect base for experiencing the beauty of the surrounding countryside, from every direction Alston is approached over a broad, heather clad Pennine Landscape which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Alston has a steep cobbled main street with a distinctive market cross, and many stone buildings dating from the 17th century. The cottage has been fully refurbished with 2 bedrooms both having en-suite luxury bathrooms. The front bedroom is a king size bed with original roof beams on show. With a wood burning stove in the lounge, and new electric radiators. Terrace at the front with a picnic table to enjoy a drink before you walk into Alston. Within walking distance to the town of Alston which has several pubs and cafes. Plus beautiful walks on your doorstep. Not far from the Lake District, Northumberland, Teesdale and Weardale. Pets are welcome maximum of 2 pets.
