Cragg Lodge, a house consists of a kitchen/diner with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, and toaster, a utility with washing machine, and a sitting room with TV and woodburning stove. The bedrooms consist of a mezzanine-floor double and ground-floor twin. There is a bathroom with bath and shower over, basin, heated towel rail and WC. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with lawn, patio, mature shrubs, and furniture, and ample off-road parking. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1.4 miles, pub 1.6 miles. The lovely village of West Woodburn lies amidst the deep Rede Valley and was once an important resting point in Roman times for travellers on route to Scotland from York. The village hosts a welcoming pub and a Post Office selling basic supplies, whilst visitors can also explore the remains of one of the outpost forts of Hadrian's Wall that passes nearby. The historic village Otterburn, with its world-famous Woollen Mill and Shop is just a short drive away and is popular with walkers and cyclists alike, whilst the nearby, beautiful Kielder Forest affords fantastic fishing, boating, horse riding and nature watching opportunities.
